About SK Mahathi
S.K. Mahathi is a promising Carnatic vocalist from Kerala, trained under Prof. Sri Kumara Kerala Varma and Sri Thamarakkad Krishnan Namboodiri for over 15 years. Coming from a musical lineage, with her father being a Veena artist, Mahathi bridges tradition and modernity with her music.
A B.Tech graduate in Computer Science and First Rank Holder in M.A. Music (Kerala University, 2014–2016), she is an ‘A’ grade artist of All India Radio and has given over 100 concerts across India. Known for her melodious voice, clear diction, and balanced manodharma, she captivates listeners with a blend of classicism and creativity. Fluent in Telugu and Sanskrit, she interprets sahityam with authenticity and bhava.
Beyond performance, Mahathi has a deep interest in Puranic storytelling and often explores the philosophical and narrative depth of Carnatic kritis, making her concerts both musically rich and intellectually engaging.
